History of Sikhism:-
1. Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji
2. Shri Guru Angad Dev Ji
Shri Guru Angad Dev Ji is the second Guru of Sikhism. Guru Angad Dev ji was originally named Bhai Lehna ji. He was a devoted disciple of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. His leadership was marked by humility and devotion to the Sikh community. He continued the work of Guru Nanak Dev Ji by spreading the message of One God, equality and selfless services. Guru Angad Dev ji invented the Gurmukhi script. This script has since become the medium for recording (the words of Guru) and is now the script in which the Guru Granth Sahib ji, the holy scripture of Sikhism, is written.
3. Shri Guru Amar Das ji
Guru Amar Das Ji is the third Guru of Sikhism. Guru ji was impressed by Guru Angad Dev Ji teaching, and became his devoted disciple. Guru ji introduced several reforms and played a key role in consolidating the growing Sikh community. One of Guru Ji's most significant contributions was his emphasis on gender equality. Guru ji established a structured system of Sikh congregations known as " Manjis".

Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji is the 5th Guru of Sikhism. Guru ji was born in Goindwal, Punjab, India. Guru Arjan Dev ji was not only a spiritual leader but also a patron of the arts. Guru ji encouraged the development of Sikh music and poetry which later became integral components of Sikh worship. Guru ji life and teachings continue to serve as a source of inspiration for Sikhs and people of various backgrounds.

Shri Guru Har Gobind Singh is the Sixth guru of Sikhism who plays a significant role in shaping Sikhism. Guru HarGobind ji is renowned for his martial prowess and his efforts to militarize the Sikh community in response to the persecution and oppression faced by Sikhs during his time.
Guru ji is often remembered for wearing two swords, one temporal power (Miri), and the other symbolizing spiritual power (Piri), signifying the dual nature of his leadership. Guru ji built the Akal Takht. Guru ji secured the release of 52 Hindu princes who were unjustly imprisoned by Mughal Empire Jahangir.
7. Shri Guru Har Rai Ji
Shri Guru Har Rai Ji is seventh Guru of Sikhism. Guru ji in emphasized the importance of kindness, love and service to all living beings. Guru ji maintained a beautiful herbal garden known as the 'Guru Ka Bagh' and encouraged the use of herbal medicine .The Guru was a patron of education and encouraged the Sikhs to Seek knowledge. Guru ji, founded educational institution and supported scholars .
8. Shri Guru Har Krishan Ji
Sri Guru Har Krishan Ji is the eighth Guru of Sikhism. At the age of five Year guru ji became the Guru of the Sikhs. Despite his young age, Guru Har Krishan ji was known for his extraordinary wisdom and spirituality. Guru ji emphasized the idea of universal brotherhood and equality. Guru ji often visited and provided care to those affected by smallpox during an epidemic in Delhi.
9. Shri Guru Teg Bahadur ji
Shri Guru teg Bahadur ji is ninth Guru of Sikhism. Guru ji also known as 'Hind Di Chadar' for his sacrifice in defense of the rights of the Kashmiri Pandits, who were facing religious persecution. Guru ji teachings emphasized the importance of selfless service (Seva), humility and devotion to God. Guru ji added hymns and writing to the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism. Guru ji belief in one God and rejection of caste based discrimination.
10. Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji
Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji is the tenth Guru of Sikhism. Guru ji was not only a spiritual leader but also a warrior. Guru ji promoted the idea of equality among all, irrespective of caste or Creed. Guru ji said that all humans are equal in the eyes of the divine. Guru Ji's life and teachings have left a lasting impact on Sikhism and have inspired people to stand up for justice, fight against oppression and uphold the values of equality and spirituality.
